Dvorak's early and little known symphony is a lyrical and evocative work which already shows the blending of western classical forms with eastern influences and his folk heritage (click for programme note).

Nabarro's intense and powerful reading of Elgar's dramatic masterpiece is preceded by Glinka's fiery overture - certain to drive away any winter blues!
